Snorkel launches new online warranty services portal

Snorkel launches new online warranty services portalHenderson, NV, USA(June 6, 2022) Snorkel is very pleased to announce the global launch of its new online warranty services portal.

Now available, the new online warranty services portal allows Snorkel equipment owners to digitally manage all product warranty and warranty claim information. New users can create an account to submit a claim, search and view claim history, and submit labor rate declarations. The user-friendly online portal provides convenient 24/7 access and up-to-date product warranty information. There is no change on how claims are processed, we are simply improving the experience to submit and track warranty claims, hopefully improving claim processing times.

The new warranty services portal is the part of a customer support digitization campaign by Snorkel. While we are still accepting scanned/mailed paper copies of warranty claim submissions, this will be phased out over the coming months.

Jamie Graham, Vice President of Product Support for Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel, said, “We are continually looking for opportunities to improve our customer experience, and the launch of this new online warranty services portal is a fantastic development for our customers and product support team. Our customers can now take control of their warranty claim process, with the ability to submit the claim and all supporting materials online, as well as receive status updates as a claim is processed.”

To access the warranty services portal, users can visit www.snorkellifts.com/warranty.

New Maeda dealer in Spain and Denmark

Madrid, Spain(May 16, 2022) Ahern Ibérica and Ahern Denmark have been appointed as dealers of Maeda mini-cranes. Both companies are a part of the Ahern Family of Companies, a U.S.-based major global player in construction equipment manufacturing, distribution and rental.

Ahern Ibérica was founded in 2019 and the team has many years of previous experience working with lifting equipment in the Spanish market. The main headquarters is in the Madrid area and several mobile service units and sales teams are located in other areas of Spain.

Ahern Denmark was formed in 2021 when Don Ahern, owner of the Ahern Family of Companies, acquired KH Lift ApS, the official Snorkel distributor in Denmark, and rebranded it as Ahern Denmark.

Established in 1962, Maeda Seisakusho manufactures, rents and services construction equipment, industrial machinery and steel structural products. The Japanese company’s mini-cranes are known in Japan as “crab cranes” due to their similarity to the crustaceans when the outriggers are deployed. Their unique profile and teal-green color has made them easily recognized around the world.

Maeda mini-cranes are compact, versatile cranes ideal for lifting to confined spaces, at awkward angles, or from a restricted footprint. The company’s inventory features a range of sizes, from small-scale models that will fit through a 30-inch door to a ride-on, tracked crawler with an 8,101kg (17,860 lb) lift capacity.

“Maeda is a strong brand that is recognised for its top-of-the-line quality and reliability,” says managing director of Ahern Ibérica Enrique Garcia. “The company is an excellent addition to our strategy of representing premium manufacturers of lifting equipment in Spain.”

Anders Karlsson, head of Maeda sales Europe at Kranlyft Group says, “We are very happy to start our collaboration with Ahern Family of Companies in Spain and Denmark. We found that we share many of the same values in our business, with a focus on quality in everything we do to promote customer satisfaction. We look forward to a long-lasting business relationship to serve our common customers.”

“This is a great step for both Ahern and Maeda,” said general manager of Ahern Denmark Henrik Skibsted. “We see this as a great opportunity for both organizations to increase the visibility of our brands and breadth of access to the products we represent.”

SNORKEL INTRODUCES TRIGGER GUARD SOLUTION FOR CURRENT AND LEGACY MACHINES

Snorkel trigger guard is fitted directly to enable switch operated joysticks

Snorkel, a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms, announces that it has developed a trigger guard solution that will be fitted as standard to all new Snorkel lifts that have an enable switch operated joystick.

The new trigger guard is also available as a retrofit solution for legacy Snorkel electric and rough terrain scissor lifts, as well as any Snorkel models with an enable switch operated joystick, including some electric boom lifts, towable booms and mast booms.

The trigger guard fits directly onto the joystick and provides an additional level of protection over the enable switch to prevent involuntary movement, without affecting normal operation of the controls.

Matthew Elvin, Snorkel CEO, said, “We take safety seriously, and the introduction of the trigger guard solution provides operators with an additional level of protection on machines which utilize an enable switch operated joystick, from involuntary movement.”

“As with our Snorkel Guard™ secondary guarding system for boom lifts, we felt it important to not only offer a solution on new build machines, but also make it available on as many of our legacy machines as possible.”

This product improvement is now included as standard on new build Snorkel lifts with an enable switch operated joystick. The retrofit solution is in stock and available to order globally, and Snorkel is offering a special introductory price to all customers through the end of 2018.

Snorkel has released a product improvement bulletin which details the simple procedure for installing the retrofit trigger guard solution. The bulletin can be accessed here: https://www.snorkellifts.com/Downloads/Full_Manuals_Library/tcb-18.015-joystick-guard-installation.pdf

The trigger guard can be ordered via Snorkel Parts Departments globally. Regional contact details can be found at www.snorkellifts.com or within the product improvement bulletin.
